TRECESSON PROJECT
During a 2009 property visit, 12 surface samples were taken the most significant
of which was a grab sample assayed at 109.82 g/t gold, 61.6 g/t silver, 1.41%
copper, 9.39% zinc and 0.79% lead.
Knick acquired the 212 hectare Trecesson Gold Property in February of 2010,
which now covers 5,454 hectares. The property, traversed by paved route 393, is
located north-north west of Val-d'Or and lies within an 80 km radius of 8 gold
mills situated along the Trans-Canada Highway.
On May 3, 2011 the company started its first exploration program on the
property. It consisted of systematic drilling to evaluate the gold potential of
the Cossette Structure-Vein System by fences of 6 holes per fence to a maximum
50m vertical depth of intersection, with <20m fence separations along and on
strike of the veining, using metallic sieve analysis of vein material to
ascertain and minimize “nugget effect” of the native gold within the system.
The program completed June 30, 2011 as 121 holes totalling 3,433m (11,263ft) and
returned significant gold values along the entire strike length tested.
Visible gold was encountered in 25 drill holes (20%). 117 holes were spotted to
test the “Cossette System” of which 101 holes hit, an 86% success rate.
2011 Drilling highlights of the gold results include:
Hole TR-11-61: 14.22g/t over 3.80m (0.415oz/ton over 12.46ft)
Hole TR-11-73: 22.69g/t over 1.95m (0.663oz/ton over 6.40 ft)
Hole TR-11-119: 22.86g/t over 1.55m (0.667oz/ton over 5.08ft)
*down hole widths
22 holes returned results with >7g/t Au and/or.1.5m width.
55 holes returned results with over 1g/t and/or visible gold.
The metallic sieve assay results confirmed a positive gold nugget effect in the
Cossette Gold System.
The System of +860 m potential strike length was tested on the south and north
Cossette veins covering a combined strike length of 360m. The gap of 500m
between the veins and their extensions along strike and at depth remain to be
tested.
The Company believes there is a high potential for parallel veins within the
Cossette Gold System as the property has elements of geological similarity to
the producing Beaufor Mine of Richmont Mines Inc-RIC.
Royal Nickel-RNX, Pershimco-PRO, Globex Mining-GMX, Adventure Gold-AGE are among
juniors in the area.
Historically channel sampling by Noranda, circa 1938, on the North Cossette vein
returned 5.7g/t gold over 61m length and 1.43m average width. Noranda channel
sampling on the South Cossette vein returned a grade of 9.0g/t gold over a
length of 21m and 1.22m average width. In 1964 channel sampling by Transcona
Exploration on the South Cossette vein returned a grade of 9.0g/t gold over a
length of 36.6m and an average width of 0.83m.
